What more beautiful place in Paris than the Arena to celebrate the historical links that unite Rome to Paris, formerly Lutetia?

From July 12 to 16, 2024, the Arènes de Lutèce, nestled in the heart of the Latin Quarter, will be transformed into a large Roman piazza to host the third edition of the DOLCEVITA-SUR-SEINE festival. This Franco-Italian festival, free and open-air, celebrates the splendor and imagination of Rome through cinema, music, theater and photography.

For five days, let yourself be transported by the festive and captivating atmosphere of Rome. This year, the festival pays a special tribute to Marcello Mastroianni on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. At the opening, spectators will be able to rediscover Ettore Scola's masterpiece, A Special Day, with Sophia Loren, in a version restored by Cinecittà. The festival doesn’t stop there. Echoing the history of the Arènes de Lutèce, a selection of peplums will be screened, recalling the great stories of Antiquity. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to discover new releases in Italian cinema thanks to the Italian Screens selection and several previews. For film buffs and fans of new talent, the Ristretto competition will highlight short films from two major film schools: La Fémis in Paris and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.

Beyond the screenings and shows, the festival offers spaces for relaxation and conviviality: a pop-up bar where you can enjoy Italian coffees, deckchairs to enjoy the Parisian sun, a jukebox for a retro musical atmosphere, and card games or pétanque to have fun with friends or family.

Mark your calendars! On July 13, don't miss the grand Italian ball, a dance evening that promises to be memorable.
