Albedo, l’exposition que propose le MAC’s, est née de l’invitation faite aux artistes belges Ann Veronica Janssens et Jean Glibert de créer un dispositif permettant aux visiteurs de vivre une expérience d’ordre esthétique sans s’encombrer de la matérialité de l’objet d’art. Libérée des œuvres et des accessoires de monstration habituels, l’exposition est l’occasion pour les deux artistes de dialoguer librement avec l’architecture brute du musée et sa lumière naturelle, épinglant ainsi une des particularités du MAC’s : un espace imprégné par l’architecture que conçut Pierre Hebbelinck pour, entre autres, résister au geste architectural posé par Bruno Renard un siècle plus tôt en créant le site du Grand-Hornu.
