A Change of Perspective exhibition, Ndayé Kouagou becomes lifestyle coach at FRAC Île-de-France

Welcome to a guru’s den! With his performative videos using the codes and language of digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, and his slogans straight out of a personal development book, Ndayé Kouagou encourages us to be the best version of ourselves.

Unlike the lifestyle influencers who abound on social networks, this self-taught artist challenges us and ultimately leads us... nowhere. The videographer is in fact not a spiritual master like the others. His autofictional alter-ego at the cutting edge of fashion and boundless energy will not bring us here either tools or answers, only avenues, not to succeed in life, but to sow doubt. Wouldn’t this masquerade already be part of our daily lives?
