150 years ago, the Impressionists shook up everything in their path. The sensation and rapid expression, the blur of light and vibration effects replaces the aesthetic conventions of the time, leaving an eternal trace in the painting. The outdoors, the favorite subject of these daring painters, passes through the filter of their fantastic spirit of invention. These innovative impressionist landscapes are the heart of a grandiose exhibition, for which the MUba is joining forces with the prestigious Musée d’Orsay. Of the 180 works loaned by the latter, 58 will be exhibited in this splendid walk, making it the major event in the celebration of the movement of the end of the 19th century. Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Pissarro, Cézanne, Caillebotte, Signac, Gauguin and even Bonnard: all the masters are invited to this great ball of nature, sensations and light. Sweeping the movement from its infancy to its consequences on 20th century abstraction, this concentration of masterpieces is unprecedented in the regions. A new, colorful and powerful impressionist horizon, which extends as far as the eye can see before our delighted eyes.
