The Halle des Blancs-Manteaux will host Bowie, Inspiration, Fascination, Generation, a collective of eighteen artists presented as part of the 4Art fair, from December 11 to 13, 2026. Painting, photography, sculpture, and digital art respond to the figure of the singer, with Bowie France as a partner and free admission.

David Bowie would have turned eighty in January 2027, and the upcoming global tribute begins with three days in a hall in the Marais district. The invited artists each take on the man in their own way, without seeking resemblance.

Sabine Matarasso, curator of this event, was sixteen years old when the singer came to her family home one evening in 1993 for the opening of an exhibition by his friend, the English painter Derek Boshier.

Created in collaboration with the French community that keeps his memory alive, the exhibition will then travel throughout the anniversary year. It's a way of gauging the enduring influence of a deceased musician on artists.
