MODERN HEROES
To capture the beauty of the moment, you have to anticipate it. Raymond Depardon has always traveled the world to freeze his time in striking images. In the din of the Olympic stadium in Mexico in 1968, the famous photo reporter immortalized a moment that would become legendary: the raised fist of Tommie Smith and John Carlos, symbol of the fight against racial discrimination. This summer, Raymond Depardon will be crowned with an exhibition, celebrating the modern heroism of people in the face of the upheavals of our troubled times. More than an exhibition, the photographer gives us a window on the world, a precious testimony to our common history.
