What if the favorite objects of the sporting world could be transformed into real works of art? This is the crazy bet that the Artcurial auction house is offering us, by dressing sixteen iconic pieces from the history of sport in the famous Klein blue. From Tony Parker's ball becoming an electric ball to Zinédine Zidane's jersey transformed into an ultra-trendy outfit, including Teddy Riner's overseas black belt, this exhibition plunges us into a hypnotizing locker room. Boxing gloves, sword, medal, racket, disc or helmet, we relive the most memorable moments of these champions through objects elevated to the rank of museum sculptures. Pieces which will be exhibited for six weeks before being sold during a charity auction for the benefit of the Sport a du Cœur association.

Did you know? From Yves Klein we retained the emblematic electric blue. Who, on the other hand, remembers that before being the artist we know, Yves Klein was a top athlete? It was in 1947 that Yves Klein discovered judo, considered at the time not as a sport but as an art allowing self-control. At the age of 25, he became a 4th dan black belt, after training tirelessly for almost two years at the Kõdõkan Institute in Tokyo. In his quest for uncompromising absoluteness, our artist with a fiery temperament decided to create a unique, intense, vibrant color, an ultramarine blue which would become his signature.
