Our never-before-seen images from the Paris exhibition presents itself to the world at the Paris City Hall!
Paris City Hall
Until November 16, 2024
If Paris had to reveal its identity, what would it say? Would it resemble its inhabitants, young, committed and irremediably turned towards ecology or would it present a completely different face? The Paris City Hall cuts through and paints an incredibly vivid sketch of the capital thanks to a mosaic of tasty anecdotes and stunning figures. Did you know, for example, that a quarter of Parisians were born abroad, that half of the inhabitants were under 40 years old or that one in fifteen residents experienced a disability? Did you guess that the City of Light no longer had a single stop sign, but was home to more cats than residents in the 15th arrondissement? Fortunately, Paris is not just a series of percentages and statistics. Rich in data, photographs, maps and video creations, this exhibition sketches the contours of the city through a succession of giant portraits suspended from the ceiling, like coats of arms floating above a range of indoor deckchairs. A few more steps, then we come across the reconstruction of a school street and the creation of an urban micro-jungle which leads to a time capsule from which we can leave a message to future generations. See you on May 25, 2042 for the rest of the events…

Did you know?
This is not an urban legend. In 1984, a crocodile was spotted in the sewers of Paris. Dispatched to the site, the beast with the sweet name of Éléonore was finally captured, examined and sent to live out happy days in the Vannes aquarium in Brittany. Three years after his death, the myth still persists about the reasons for his strange appearance.
