As the warm weather arrives, the Hangar Y opens its doors to a series of summer events that promise to delight young and old alike. Nestled in a green setting with a breathtaking view of the basin and the imposing structure of Hangar Y, the tavern becomes the beating heart of summer. A place to live par excellence, it is reinventing itself this year with an eclectic program: a new gourmet menu, varied entertainment, lively DJ sets, and for the first time, a free open-air cinema!
This summer, the 7th art is coming outdoors with eight sessions scheduled between June and September. Whether you are an experienced movie buff or a fan of evenings under the stars, this event is made for you.
The sessions are free, with an option to rent a deck chair for €6 for optimal comfort. As places are limited, it is strongly recommended to reserve online and arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the screenings. The screenings will begin at 10:30 p.m., offering a unique cinematic experience in an enchanting setting.
Friday June 14, the program begins with "Billy Elliot" (2000), a film by Stephen Daldry in the original version with French subtitles (VOSTFR), lasting 1h50min. This moving story follows Billy, a young boy from the North East of England, who discovers a passion for dance in a difficult family and social context. A poignant film that celebrates courage and pursuing your dreams despite obstacles.
On Friday June 28, at 10:30 p.m., you will be able to discover “En Corps” (2022) by Cédric Klapisch, in French version (VF), lasting 1h58min. This contemporary drama chronicles the quest for resilience of Elise, a classical dancer who, after an injury, finds a new path in contemporary dance. An introspective and visually captivating journey between Paris and Brittany.
The program for July and August, although not yet officially announced, is eagerly awaited.
