Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone film concert at the Grand Rex
THE GRAND REX
From November 4th to 8th, 2026
The Yellow Socks Orchestra performs John Williams' score live beneath the screen at the Grand Rex, for the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
More than eighty musicians take to the stage, conducted by Timothy Henty. The orchestra follows the image with perfect second-by-second precision, and the themes that everyone hums are played live rather than played through the auditorium's speakers.
The Grand Rex is showing seven screenings in its grand Art Deco auditorium, including two matinees on weekends. The film is shown in its theatrical version, in its original language with subtitles, and the screening lasts nearly three hours, including intermission.
It's best to book early: at the time of publication, four screenings were sold out and the remaining three were full.
