Le grand peintre baroque Gaspar de Crayer a grandi avec comme idoles Jacques Jordaens et Anthony van Dyck. Mais à l’inverse de ses maîtres, Gaspar décide de se libérer des codes et peint des scènes religieuses immenses avec un sens de la composition unique.

The Flemish painter known for his many Counter-Reformation altarpieces and portraits is coming to Ghent this autumn.
