The events of the Spring Sculpture Festival, from March 22nd to 30th in the Hauts-de-Seine department

1

The first days of spring transform the Valley of Sculpture into a vast open-air workshop. For a week, one hundred free events blossom throughout the Hauts-de-Seine, offering a free-form journey between heritage and contemporary creation.

From one site to another, Rodin models light in his former home in Meudon, Dubuffet invites us to enter into color with his Tour aux Figures, Landowski unfolds the monumentality of the 1930s. From classical bronzes to the audacious sculptures of the 20th century, this new edition of the Spring of Sculpture shapes and molds the urban landscape through participatory workshops, discovering the valley by following a thread sculpted through the ages.

From the age-old techniques of stonemasonry to the most innovative technologies, on foot or by bike, we delve into the secrets of a craft of gesture . Manipulating forms, playing with colors, reinventing iconic motifs… Here, the Hourloupe comes to life in a vibrant collective mural; there, art and technology intertwine in 3D printing workshops. The journey becomes more intimate and contemplative at the Albert-Kahn Departmental Museum , where visitors will learn to create sculpted hieroglyphs, forming a script that connects ages and imaginations.
