La Portugaise Joana Vasconcelos est l’une des artistes les plus populaires de la scène contemporaine actuelle. La raison ? Ses œuvres fantaisistes manient l’humour finement sans occulter toutefois les enjeux politiques et sociétaux actuels. Peut-être reconnaîtrez-vous le titre de cet accrochage, puisqu’il se réfère à la chanson culte du groupe Queen, porté par le flamboyant Freddie Mercury ! Un univers pop multisensoriel a ainsi été mis en place, comprenant vingt-quatre œuvres (sculptures et installations) interrogeant le thème de la domesticité. On retrouvera au long de ce parcours insolite et coloré des objets usuels et des traditions artisanales portugaises.

From October 20, 2026 to January 24, 2027, the Petit Palais invites Prune Nourry for "Visionaries," with free admission. The artist gives a face to eighteen forgotten female sculptors, including Käthe Kollwitz, Jane Poupelet and Sarah Bernhardt, through eighteen plaster and bronze busts, ranging from seventy centimeters to three and a half meters in height.
