Kamel Ouali's new Cabaret experience!
Since May 2, 2019, Paradis Latin, the oldest cabaret in Paris, has presented its new revue, “L’Oiseau Paradis”. Directed and choreographed by Kamel Ouali, this show is under the sign of sensuality, poetry, emotion and humor. Kamel Ouali, creative and passionate choreographer and director, takes up the challenge launched by Paradis Latin for this new revue. His career is punctuated by varied artistic collaborations in the world of entertainment (The Sun King, The Ten Commandments, Cleopatra, collaborations with Céline Dion, Mariah Carey, etc.) and television (Star Academy, France has incredible talent). Twenty years after “French Cancan” at the Folies Bergères, he returns to his first love, Cabaret. He explains: “The Paradis Latin is a legendary and inspiring room. Faithful to the tradition of this magical place, I want to capture people as soon as they arrive in the room and immerse them in a surreal and surprising universe to give them a unique experience.”

An original and grandiose show!
The show begins as soon as customers arrive, in the Cabaret lobby. Actors, dancers and artists immerse guests in a surreal and striking atmosphere! “The artists and the brigade will take the audience into a magical world throughout the evening. Permanent interaction with the public will make each show a unique moment.”

Creatures, dancers, special effects and new technologies mix among around fifteen exceptional sets designed by Alain Lagarde, recognized creator of sets for operas, musicals and plays. Added to this are more than 500 costumes created for the occasion by the Parisian Couture house “On aura tout vu”, which has created the stage costumes for the biggest stars such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry, as well as numerous ballets for the opera. After their collaboration at the Folies Bergères (“French Cancan” show), Marie-Laure Philippon joined Kamel Ouali to stage a new French Cancan at the Paradis Latin, which is at once authentic, modern and surprising.

An international casting!
Kamel Ouali's wish is to evolve the classic cabaret style for modern moments, while maintaining the DNA of Paradis Latin – the conviviality, the festive atmosphere, the iconic French Cancan and the grand Final en Blanc . Kamel Ouali was looking for artists with multiple talents, who knew how to act, sing and dance. “I asked for a lot of improvisation during these auditions,” he continues. More than 1000 artists were auditioned in Paris and London. Giant auditions which sometimes lasted more than 10 hours, where dancers, singers, actors, attractions from all over the world shared their talent with us Nearly thirty exceptional international artists and attractions were finally selected by Kamel Ouali and his team to animate this exceptional place. created in 1803 by Napoleon and rebuilt by Gustave Eiffel in 1889.

Iris Mittenaere, Miss France and Miss Universe 2016, joined the troupe as a revue leader for the launch of Kamel Ouali's new show, entitled “L'Oiseau Paradis”.
