Chef de file du mouvement impressionniste, Claude Monet laisse derrière lui une œuvre audacieuse et révolutionnaire.

C’est sur cette carrière exceptionnelle que revient l’exposition, via un parcours de thématiques chères à l’artiste, à travers une trentaine de toiles iconiques (un ensemble des Nymphéas, Les Tuileries etc.). La visite tend à valoriser l’ensemble des techniques novatrices utilisées, voire inventées par l’artiste de son vivant. La superposition des couches picturales, la variation des lumières, la maîtrise des motifs sont tant de moyens
qui ont accompagné Monet dans sa quête de représentation de la fugacité de l’instant.
