De son fulgurant coup de crayon, Mathurin Méheut nous fait voyager au plus profond de sa Bretagne natale. Par la simplicité de ses silhouettes, au cœur de sa création, le peintre nous transmet une représentation vivante de l’agitation des ports, de la foule des pardons, et de la beauté de la vie quotidienne. Hommage au pays bigouden, c’est une véritable déclaration d’amour qui s’anime sous nos yeux, ponctuée ici et là par la représentation fantastique et sensible de la faune et de la flore maritime. Le dessinateur s’érige dans cette exposition au rang de témoin, mais aussi de transmetteur d’une culture unique, à laquelle il dédiera la majorité de sa riche et prolifique production artistique.

The Robert Doisneau House of Photography in Gentilly presents Black is Beautiful until March 14, 2027. Kwame Brathwaite recounts an evening in January 1962 in Harlem, when young black women rejected by all the modeling agencies in New York paraded.
STIMULTANIA From October 9, 2026 to January 9, 2027
Stimultania, in Strasbourg, presents Neo-Analog from October 9, 2026 to January 9, 2027. Thirteen artists work with the material of the image, emulsion spread by hand on textile, printing on marble or scratched surface.
The Francès Foundation in Senlis presents Faire corps, twenty years of photography in the Francès collection, until December 19, 2026. The foundation is exhibiting photography that borrows from cinema, including twelve commissioned prints by Gregory Crewdson with Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore.
The Théâtre du Nord, in Lille, is exhibiting Bérangère Fromont’s République until January 16, 2027. The photographer shows the Place de la République, in Paris, at night, in medium format black and white printed on Japanese washi paper.
