Revivez les années fastes et libertaires de la Sécession européenne aux côtés de l’incandescent Gustav Klimt et de ses compositions érotico-mystiques. À travers la sélection de plus de 200 peintures et sculptures d’artistes internationaux doublée d’une présentation magistrale de quelque 50 œuvres dorées du peintre viennois, l’Alte Nationalgalerie revient sur cette décennie de rupture indissociable des premières avant-gardes. L’exposition, imaginée comme une véritable symphonie des arts, multiplie les points de vue, célébrant le génie des sécessionnistes allemands en la présence de Franz von Stuck et Max Liebermann.

Focusing on Paul Gauguin and the circles of artists he encountered, from Pont-Aven to Tahiti, the exhibition brings together one hundred and fifty works, including eighty by the painter, a collection that Hungary had never seen before.
