Si le nom de Norman Foster ne vous évoquera peut-être pas grand chose, son œuvre, elle, est pourtant
visible aux quatre coins du monde, de Londres à Hong Kong, et il est fort à parier que vous avez déjà photographié l’une de ses créations. L’architecte britannique sacré baron pour l’ensemble de son travail est la tête pensante derrière laquelle se cache certaines des plus grandes réalisations du XXe siècle. Le viaduc de Millau ? C’est lui. L’Hôtel de Ville de Londres ? Le Carré d’art de Nîmes, le siège d’Apple à la Silicon Valley, l’aéroport de Beijing, la rénovation du British Museum et du Reichstag ? Encore lui. Il ne restait à Norman Foster qu’un seul défi : assurer la scénographie de sa propre exposition. Le Centre Pompidou offre cette chance au prince de l’architecture moderne en lui dédiant cette rétrospective de grande envergure déployée sur plus de 2000 m2. Dessins, esquisses, vidéos, maquettes originales et dioramas permettent de découvrir 130 projets majeurs de l’ambassadeur de l’architecture hightech. Entre le génie industriel et la folie des grandeurs, l’exposition compte également des chefs-d'œuvre signés Fernand Léger, Brancusi ou Ai Weiwei dont la présence ne justifie qu’un seul but : mieux cerner les influences et la personnalité d’un géant.

From October 20, 2026 to February 21, 2027, the BnF is exhibiting on its Richelieu site the engraved and drawn work of Louise Bourgeois: the 1995 donation brought out of storage, augmented by ninety-one works from the Centre Pompidou, for its first exhibition in a Parisian public institution since 2008.

Ibrahim Mahama Exhibition, Harvest Time, at the Cartier Foundation

From October 22, 2026 to February 28, 2027, the Cartier Foundation entrusts all of its spaces in the Palais-Royal to the Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama: a glass bottle factory dismantled in Ghana and reassembled in Paris, a parliament of stools and several guest artists.
