The Paris of Gustave Eiffel, an exhibition at the City of Architecture and Heritage

1

Known to all, the name of Gustave Eiffel resounds throughout the world thanks to his greatest masterpiece: an eminently symbolic Iron Lady culminating at 324 meters in height. The legacy of Monsieur Eiffel would however be much larger than it seems... One hundred years after his death, the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine reveals the imprint left by the illustrious engineer in the City of Light. Prints, photographs, digital tools, objects and models are staged here in order to evoke the Parisian life of Eiffel, its achievements, its participation in the metal frame of the Statue of Liberty or its contribution to the modernity of the capital city.
