The winners write history. This principle applies to the period of the French Revolution, the memory of which remains largely marked by the imprint of the revolutionaries. But what about the other side? Nearly 150 years after the events, the National Archives are providing us with some answers with this fascinating exhibition. To do this, more than a hundred documents have been brought together to shed light on the atmosphere that reigned in the Tuileries Palace between 1789 and 1792. From Louis XVI's diary to Marie-Antoinette's letters to her confidant, Everything you need to understand the state of mind of the royal family in the face of these upheavals is present in this exhibition, the historical importance of which could well be of capital importance.
