The collection of Roger Moore aka James Bond was put up for auction in London

The collection of outfits and accessories worn by Roger Moore was put up for auction on October 4. Tuxedos, watches, photos, posters... A true paradise for its fans and all movie buffs.
But that's not all... Many remarkable objects were put up for auction, of all types, starting with two pairs of skis and a ski suit that belonged to him, used in Dangerously Yours, which sold for... get ready... for 28,160 pounds sterling! An excellent skier, Roger Moore cultivated his passion for skiing for years. We have also seen him in action in various films, notably in For Your Eyes Only, dating from 1981.
No less than 200 souvenirs of the British star were presented at Maison Bonham's in London. These were sold by his three children on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his first appearance in the film Live and Let Die dating from 1973, adapted from the novel by Ian Fleming. This iconic film marks the beginning of his role in numerous James Bond films (7 in total!)
This auction brought in big profits: at the top of our ranking came our famous spy's briefcase including a collection of twenty watches, sold for £76,600, then in second position we found the automatic stainless steel time-consuming watch sold for its part. at £61,360, followed closely by the limited edition “50 years of 007” watch which sold for £57,550.
Part of the profits from this auction were donated to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), of which Roger Moore himself was an ambassador since 1991.
Did you know ? One of the most expensive spy memorabilia ever sold at auction that tops the list is the Aston Martin DB5, which can be seen in the 1964 film Goldfinger.
