How to tell a historical episode as long and painful as that of Asian migrations in France? The Museum of the History of Immigration traces the collective but also individual trajectories of several thousand migrants from East Asia from the 1860s to the present day. At the crossroads of the arts, geography, sociology and anthropology, the exhibition takes a fresh look at a subject rarely discussed in museums, paying particular attention to the deconstruction of stereotypes. A life-size history lesson that does not hesitate to multiply points of view in order to convey the complex reality of migrations in France for more than a century.
