The electrifying Ivana Živić exhibition at Galerie Boris: our YouTube video

The Boris Gallery invites the electrifying Ivana Živić for a magical exhibition.

Pop, electrifying, sulphurous… How to describe the extraordinary work of Ivana Živić? The Boris gallery nestled in the heart of the Parisian golden triangle gives us the immense pleasure of inviting this furiously rising star of the contemporary art scene. Here, we will hold our breath and take a deep breath before immersing ourselves in the magnetic work of this virtuoso painter. Silhouettes submerged by water, modern nymphs who seem to dance beneath the waves, with disturbing grace. Mermaids turned ballerinas who offer us a breathtaking spectacle, enveloped in the vaporous fabrics of their most beautiful dresses. Here the seabed is transformed into sumptuous ballrooms, inspired by the decor of the Louvre, Versailles or Parisian department stores, like the reflection of the splendor of fine societies in an absolutely haunting inverted mirror. What scene is playing out here? Could these solitary naiads, imbued with reverie, be prey to doubt and temptation? Like Narcissus fascinated by these intoxicating images, we in turn allow ourselves to let go, with the irresistible desire to penetrate these hypnotic paintings. Ultimately we almost forget our questions about the identity of this woman... The artist invites us here to accept the ambiguities without trying to understand them, to experience the poetry of the moment, a grace magnificently embodied by this mysterious silhouette which - like Verlaine could have said it - is each time neither completely the same nor completely different.
