Baron Lanteigne exhibition at the Enghien-les-Bains Arts Center

Will you be able to make your way through Baron Lanteigne’s three-dimensional work? The Quebec artist recently opened a bridge between the physical world and the virtual sphere at the Enghien-les-Bains Arts Center. A breach through which this young prodigy of digital art invites you today to penetrate in order to live a sensitive experience at the heart of his intangible universe. Fascinated by still lifes, the artist offers you here a remastered version of this mass of inanimate objects with a monumental installation of sixteen screens suspended in the air dominating anyone who dares to approach them... Other sculptural works of smaller format complete this foray into the confusing mind of Baron Lanteigne. By mixing electronics with programming, video with sculpture, this jack-of-all-trades rethinks spaces, redefines boundaries by imagining new settings composed almost exclusively of 3D animations. This futuristic exhibition, however, has a completely different objective, that of making us aware of a gentle oxymoron, that of the “materiality of the virtual” and the constant evolution of the world around us.
