We have been waiting for it for seven long years. The Aubusson International Tapestry City is preparing to reveal in its entirety the fruit of its hard work, i.e. sixteen weavings made from the original illustrations of J.R.R. Tolkien. A real woven adventure of 150 m2 which required the expert hands of around thirty artisans with golden fingers and a lot of elbow grease! From a majestic mountain to the dazzling treasure of Smaug, the exhibition here brings to life the fantastic stories of the founding father of modern heroic fantasy, of course giving pride of place to the two monuments of literature which are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, without forgetting to reveal to us works less known than their big brothers, such as The Silmarillion, the tale Roverandom or the collection of Letters from Santa Claus that Tolkien wrote for his children.
