An exceptional film concert in the heart of the unmissable Louvre Museum, does that tempt you?
Since its construction, Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral has continued to fascinate crowds and inspire multiple artists, starting with one of the greatest French writers, Victor Hugo.
Thus, this Sunday, January 14, the Louvre is offering its visitors a screening of the film “Notre-Dame de Paris”, which is none other than a Hollywood adaptation of the famous author’s novel about this mythical Parisian monument. A captivating silent film directed by Wallace Worsley, which will be prepared well... accompanied by an organ! The film will be broadcast in parallel with the current exhibition on our beloved cathedral, which runs until January 29, 2024.
Considered a true masterpiece, the film was an incredible success at the time. The latter also required the construction of the facade and the square of the cathedral for its sets at Universal Studios.
An event which will take place in the museum's Auditorium and which will be orchestrated by the musician Jean-Baptiste Monnot, who will improvise a grandiose and exceptional 2-hour performance on the organ for the occasion!
You will have understood, it is THE cultural event not to be missed at the start of the year!
