An employee of a Munich museum hangs his own works!
This museum technician didn’t lack nerve! Aged 51, the employee of the Munich Pinakothek secretly hung one of his own paintings, alongside the other works that decorated the wall. At night, having access to the museum outside opening hours, he infiltrated one of the rooms, escorted by a painting of his own paw. The work did not go unnoticed, due to its size (namely seventy centimeters by one meter twenty). Although the museum recognized the deception from the first moment, they left the painting on display for a day, only removing it after closing at 6 p.m. Genius or thug? Some may have praised the audacity, but the budding artist provoked the wrath of the museum and the police. Dismissed immediately, he risks a large fine, and two years in the closet... One wonders if the sentence is not a little steep, for a self-taught man begging for a trickle of light. Finally, what really made the general manager red with anger was the damage caused by hanging the painting. And yes, two holes in the wall to nail the canvas, it degrades! The museum will have to pay a sum of up to 100 euros. Through this slightly crazy, somewhat hectic act, the intrepid man still knew how to seduce the crowds. Perhaps the daring fifty-year-old will serve his time and fall into oblivion, or perhaps the public will make him an artist of great renown! To be continued...
