Scoop! A Miss France museum planned for summer 2025
Good news for fans of the annual competition, a Miss France museum will open its doors in the summer of 2025 in the pretty town of Saint-Raphaël! Nestled in a 500 m² Belle Époque villa, the museum spread over two floors will exhibit more than a hundred costumes among the 2,500 created over 11 years by the appointed stylist Amandine Catala.
Alongside these ceremonial clothes, we can find various accessories, shoes, scarves and especially the flamboyant tiaras of former Misses. Retracing the history and evolution of the famous competition through a daring staging, this is the promise launched by the Miss France company and the city of Saint-Raphaël. Beyond putting a year before the annual show, the desire is to highlight the know-how and meticulous work surrounding the costumes. Without forgetting that images and projections, from the archives, will punctuate the journey to look back on the highlights of this last decade.
You've probably already heard the famous phrase "Isn't Miss France every little girl's dream?" » The museum is intended to be a dive into this glamorized and fantasized dream. Dedicated to a century-old beauty contest, the opening of this museum marks a time when feminist demands are questioning and rethinking the injunctions made to female bodies. If the announcement is not unanimous among everyone, one thing is certain, the telecrochet faithful will be there to come and immerse themselves behind the scenes of Miss France.
