Famous Venetian merchant, explorer and writer who traveled through China at the age of 17, Marco Polo became known for the knowledge of the Far East that he brought back to Europe, through his stories. It is precisely this journey that this exhibition focuses on, marking the 700th anniversary of his disappearance. In total, more than 300 works are presented throughout the prestigious rooms of the Doge’s Palace, retracing this fascinating journey and exploring the literary work of the Venetian merchant. Paintings, historical artifacts… Discover a range of works, marvelous objects and treasures from around the world.
