No, don’t flee Paris this summer fearing the tourist excitement of the Olympic Games! This year, the 17th edition of l'Eté du Canal will take place from July 6 to August 11, 2024 between La Villette and Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis with a fun, cultural, festive and sporting program around the Parisian canals.

From picturesque cruises to floating concerts and street art discoveries, this 17th edition promises to be an unmissable summer event. Whether you're a history buff, urban art lover, or simply looking for a unique way to enjoy summer, Canal Summer has something to offer everyone.

Original cruises around the canals

Cruises are one of the highlights of Canal Summer, offering a unique opportunity to discover Paris from a different perspective. From street art cruises on the Ourcq canal to Olympic cruises from La Villette to the Stade de France, including Olympic Games cruises on the Saint-Denis canal (which will host celebration and competition sites for the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024), each escapade promises a captivating and immersive experience. Explore the changing landscapes, admire the vestiges of the industrial past and vibrate to the rhythm of the summer festivities along the Parisian canals.

Beyond cruises and concerts, Canal Summer offers a multitude of activities for the whole family. River shuttles at low prices (1 to 2€), open-air concerts, riverside dances, free workshops, musical entertainment in the parks and water activities guarantee days and evenings animated.

A cultural explosion in La Villette

This year, Paris Plages is transforming the Villette basin into a true urban oasis, offering us a refreshing break in the heart of the capital. On the banks of the Ourcq canal, this flagship event invites you to enjoy numerous nautical, leisure and relaxation activities (don't miss crossing its floating bridge!).

The Villette basin is transformed into a lively urban beach where you can relax on the sand, cool off with your feet in the water or indulge in various aquatic activities. Canoeing, paddle, pedal boat... both thrill-seekers and gentle enthusiasts will find what they're looking for. Deckchairs invite you to relax, sports fields allow you to exercise, and refreshment bars offer welcome refreshments in the summer sun... Even free open-air concerts and lively balls at dusk.

Between cultural richness and lively atmosphere, let yourself be carried away by the magic of a summer in the heart of one of the largest Parisian parks.
