The We are here exhibition: an exploration of urban art at the Petit Palais
16
The Petit Palais opens its doors to urban art artists for the first time, offering us a total immersion in a universe where the contemporary dialogues with the treasures of the collections of yesteryear. As soon as we enter, we are welcomed into an electric atmosphere, in the heart of a transformed Petit Palais, whose walls are transformed into giant canvases. Thirteen major artists including Shepard Fairey, Invader, Seth, Hush and Vhils have taken over the premises with their monumental creations. Each work, a true artistic manifesto, transcends the boundaries between the urban and the classic, offering a contemporary and daring vision of today's art. Throughout a captivating journey, a spectacular installation bringing together more than 200 works is offered to us in a grandiose setting which evokes the great artistic fairs of the past which have marked the history of art, in a vibrant echo of Salon des Refusés. An invitation to rethink our perception of art and urban space.
