Between political discourse and immigration, the Cultural Institute of Mexico immerses us in the world of the Chicano engravers of Pilsen.

From acrylic to wood engraving, including screen printing or relief printing, this exhibition introduces us to a wide range of engraving techniques. Following the muralists of the 70s and 80s, the Chicanos of Pilsen explore, through their prints, the difficulties of immigration, social injustices and the need for civic protest. A marginal discipline discredited by the upper echelons, engraving is for them a privileged place for social protest and the expression of a singular identity. More than fifty prints have crossed the Atlantic to offer an exhibition in three picturesque and captivating chapters.
