Symfolia, an evocative name located between an orchestral symphony and a gentle creative madness. From a height of fifteen meters, this monumental work, designed by the American visual artist and dancer Rachel Marks, immediately captivates our gaze. A gigantic tree, undoubtedly the largest in the world, opens its arms to us with its welcoming branches gracefully spread over eighty meters long and its intertwined roots well anchored in the ground. Figures that will make you dizzy: more than 15,000 hours of work, more than 1 million strips, two thousand books recycled, thousands of volunteers participated in this grandiose project. This monumental work of art was created by the American visual artist and dancer, Rachel Marks, hosted in residence at the Philharmonie de Paris since October 2022. Initiated, supported and accompanied by the association Inspired by KM founded by Kylian Mbappé, the project aims to bring together sport and art in a highly symbolic installation.
