The MIRA Art Fair, the first of its name, is preparing to transform Paris into a vibrant crossroads of the contemporary art scene in Latin America. From 18 to 22 September 2024, the Maison de l'Amérique Latine, located in the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, will host this exceptional event which promises to captivate art lovers, collectors and the curious, united around their love for the arts of Latin America and the Latin American diaspora, offering a unique platform for these talents often under-represented in Europe.

Among the participating galleries, we find prestigious names such as El Apartamento, a famous Spanish brand, Proyectos Monclova which represents Mexico or the Galleria Continua radiating all over the world, from Beijing to Rome, from São Paulo to Paris or Dubai. The Parisian galleries 193 Gallery, Romero Paprocki, Olivier Waltman, Christian Berst Art Brut and Baq will join the party alongside other little-known discoveries in France such as the Colombian Galería Elvira Moreno, the Wizard Gallery (Milan-London) or Revolver ( Lima-Buenos Aires-New-York), creating a harmonious mix of galleries from Latin America and Europe.

The exhibition will feature artists celebrating Latin America, such as Cubans Diango Hernández, Roberto Diago and Raúl Cordero, Mexicans Alex Hernández, Helen Escobedo and Gabriel de la Mora, Joaquín Torres-García (Uruguay), Antonio Pichilla (Guatemala), Samuel Sarmiento (Venezuela), Mario Picardo (Franco-Chilean), Lorenzo Vitturi (Peru - Italy), Jose Carlos Martinat (Peru), or even Hilda Palafox (Mexico), Catalina Leon (Argentina) and Camila Rodriguez ( Colombia).

Organized by a passionate team from France and Latin America, the MIRA Art Fair will also focus on sustainability. Environmentally friendly initiatives, such as the maritime transport of works of art and the reuse of materials, will be highlighted. The program will include conferences on sustainability and contemporary art in Latin America, as well as cultural events highlighting regional music and gastronomy.

A new opportunity to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Maison de l'Amérique Latine, an emblematic place in Paris founded in 1946. With its two 18th century mansions century, its elegant salons and its sumptuous gardens, it offers an exceptional setting to promote cultural and artistic exchanges between France and Latin America.
