Un coucher de soleil d’un rouge incandescent, un étang troublé par des vagues de couleurs chaudes, un nuage de lignes agitées… Dans cette exposition fiévreuse aux contrastes saisissants, la Galerie Faidherbe convoque les esprits libres de la Seconde École de Paris, instaurant un dialogue intense entre l’œuvre délicate du peintre chinois T’ang Haywen et celles des quatre héros de l’abstraction japonaise que sont Jun Dobashi, Toshimitsu Imaï, Hajime Katō et Key Sato. Ici, le courant de l’abstraction se fige dans une matière projetée, empâtée, égratignée à vif, tandis qu’une vision nocturne fait toute la lumière sur ce groupe d’artistes injustement méconnus.
