Love, betrayal, secrets, murders, and mysteries… DNA, the new original creation from the Théâtre Michel, promises to be one of the most explosive plays of the year. Between chases, shocking revelations, and unbearable suspense, plunge into the heart of a thrilling family drama based on an unbelievable true story. Will you be able to unravel the mystery before the final twist?

The pitch: New father Tomas sees the happiest day of his life turn into a nightmare when an unfortunate DNA test strips him of his paternity… half of it. Tomas isn't the father of his baby, but his uncle. The only problem: the thirty-something has no brother. The young man's misfortune, unfortunately, doesn't end there. The day his mother is about to make some shocking revelations, she is found murdered.

Behind this improbable imbroglio lies a farcical play of extraordinary humanity brought to life by a a troupe of highly committed actors who are present both on stage and in the audience, by the writing talent of two ingenious authors – the talented Caroline Ami and Flavie Péan – and by the theatrical genius of Sébastien Azzopardi. Following the successes of The Embarrassment of Choice, The White Lady, and Last Cut, Sarah Bernhardt's great-great-great-grandson transforms the story of this young father deprived of his greatest joy into a gripping thriller riddled with unspoken truths and family secrets. Known for his meticulous cinematic style, this hyperactive director opts for a 360-degree mise-en-scène, breaking the fourth wall to better immerse us in this incredible story. Soon laughter erupts, scenes unfold, and the pieces of the puzzle fall into place—unless we've been on the wrong track from the start…

Heartbreaking in its themes, fiercely original in its style, this unpredictable police investigation unfolds at a breakneck pace, with twists and turns leading to an unexpected final resolution. A fast-paced, vibrant performance about transmission, lineage, and forgiveness, inspired by a true story from across the Atlantic.
