Open studios of artists in Montreuil 2026: more than 250 studios to visit from October 9th to 11th

OPEN STUDIOS AT MONTREUIL ARTISTS' STUDIOS
October 9-11, 2026

Montreuil, along with Paris, is the city in the Île-de-France region with the highest concentration of artists living and working, and for three days they open their doors. From Friday, October 9th to Sunday, October 11th, 2026, more than 250 of the city's studios can be visited free of charge.

Affiche des Portes ouvertes des ateliers d'artistes de Montreuil, du 9 au 11 octobre 2026

This is one of the oldest and most popular events of its kind in the Parisian suburbs. Painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists, engravers, bookbinders, and jewelers work in former industrial workshops, pavilions, courtyards, and collective spaces, and every autumn the entire city transforms into an open-air gallery. No ticket is required; you can chat with the artist, and leave with a piece of art or a new address. Exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and performances punctuate the strolls, and the opening receptions on Friday evening set the tone.

The route is organized by neighborhood, on foot or by bike, map in hand: the Tignous Center for Contemporary Art, at 116 rue de Paris, serves as the welcome point throughout the event and distributes the official guide with its fold-out map, also available online as an interactive map. In the streets, colorful balloons mark each open studio.
