The exhibition “Night Sister” by Éléonore False at the Tanneries d’Amilly: a plunge into a dreamlike universe.

LES TANNERIES - CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER
From October 17, 2026 to February 28, 2027

From October 17, 2026, to February 28, 2027, the Les Tanneries contemporary art center in Amilly presents "Sister of the Night," a solo exhibition by Éléonore False: a nocturnal journey through collages, textiles, glass, and light sculptures, the second chapter of "Sister of the Day," presented at the CCC OD in Tours.

One month after the end of her first exhibition, "Sister of the Day," at the Olivier Debré Center for Contemporary Creation in Tours, Éléonore False takes over Les Tanneries in Amilly with the exhibition "Sister of the Night."

Les Tanneries is a former industrial site that has been rehabilitated since 2016 into a contemporary art center of national importance.

On the first floor, the artist has created an immersive and sensory experience where dim light, shadows, music, and industrial architecture resonate perfectly with the artworks. The experience is dreamlike: visitors are invited to wander through a nocturnal world, poised between dream and unease, where familiar landmarks blur, giving way to reverie.

The original music of Nicolas Mollard accompanies this sensory experience. Some older works are displayed alongside new creations, such as glass sculptures evoking tulips, somewhere between plant and lamp.

Collage is the guiding thread of Éléonore False's artistic approach. It manifests itself in the cut and assembled images, the fragments of faces, the prints on linoleum, but also in the way the works interact with the floor, the walls, the shimmering tulle, and the shadows. The boundaries between image and sculpture, body and setting, presence and absence become blurred.

Unlike the exhibition in Tours, the works at Les Tanneries are not accompanied by labels. This choice fosters a more intuitive approach, leaving each visitor, as in a dream, free to construct their own interpretations.

More than just an exhibition to look at, Sister of the Night is an experience to be lived, inviting us to take the time to wander, contemplate, and dream.
