Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas //

L'artiste australienne CJ Hendry retourne l'artosphère new-yorkaise avec une exposition arc-en-ciel simplement nommée POLYCHROME. L'exposition porte très bien son nom, CJ Hendry a en effet investi un vieil entrepôt de 200 000 m² en plein Brooklyn répartis en un parcours de plusieurs pièces thématiques qui, vous l'aurez deviné, sont monochrome c'est à dire composées d'une seule et même couleur. Chaque pièce porte sa couleur comme une identité, une atmosphère se détachant des autres. Dans chacune des salles est accroché au mur un poster froissé d'une teinte accordée du nuancier le plus connu au monde : le bien nommé PANTONE. CJ Hendry explique ce geste en disant que "La couleur n’est pas une chose physique, c’est une chose qui décrit quelque chose d’autre. En dessinant des cartes de couleur froissées, j’ai donné un physique et une forme à la couleur ».
