Ouverte le 30 janvier dernier, l’exposition Claudia Andujar. La lutte Yanomami, présentée à la Fondation Cartier, a dû fermer ses portes à la suite des mesures prises par le gouvernement. Pour ceux qui n’auraient pas eu la chance de la découvrir, tout n’est pas perdu. La Fondation Cartier vient de lancer un petit site internet consacré à la photographe brésilienne Claudia Andujar. L'occasion de plonger dans l'oeuvre d'une artiste engagée dans la défense des droits des Indiens Yanomami.

Mêlant enregistrements originaux, photographies et vidéos, le site nous fait découvrir l’histoire de l’artiste, divisée en trois séquences : son parcours de l’Europe au Brésil (1931-1971), son interprétation de la culture Yanomami (1971-1977) et son passage de l’art au militantisme (1977 à nos jours). Le site, riche en textes et en illustrations, revient longuement sur sa relation avec les Yanomamis, peuple amérindien menacé de disparition culturelle et physique depuis les années 1970 par les projets de déforestation du gouvernement brésilien.
