Eternal Notre-Dame: a virtual reality experience on the square in front of Notre-Dame

12

Notre-Dame de Paris has fascinated the French and the whole world for centuries. This hypnotic dimension has become even more accentuated since the terrible fire of 2019, making us aware of the immensity of this medieval treasure, and its potential fragility. If the cathedral seemed ephemeral to us for a moment, it is through the idea of longevity and immutability that the virtual reality experience “Eternal Notre-Dame” wishes to stand out, like an exciting expedition. through space and time, an immersion in augmented reality in the service of History. Equipped with a helmet and a backpack, inside a dedicated space of 500 m2, and guided by a Compagnon du Devoir, set off on an adventure of the perpetual construction site of Notre-Dame, its construction until its current restoration. This experience is an absolute technical feat, with decorations of striking realism, depicting the cathedral and its surroundings over the centuries, thanks to the support of scientific data and historical sources. A moment suspended in time in which 30% of the ticket price will be donated for the restoration work of the cathedral, completing the desire to make this monument eternal.
