What if you took advantage of your vacation to discover the last vestiges of the Benedictine abbey of Cluny, seat of the largest medieval monastic order in the West, and visit the Jean de Bourbon chapel, just restored. This jewel of flamboyant Gothic architecture, miraculously spared by the acts of vandalism of the Revolution, reserves a major surprise after months of closure: a new set of stained glass windows dotted with drops in the colors of the rainbow and two altars in golden tones in the same place where the original liturgical furniture was located. Behind this divine installation, hides the visual artist Sarkis, a goldsmith with golden fingers, who did not hesitate for weeks to affix the imprint of his index finger dipped in enamel on blown glass plates to represent the traces of colored rain. After months of work, today we discover with emotion a poetic and sacred work, capable of dialoguing with the whiteness of the stone and the austerity of a funerary building dedicated to one of the most important abbots of the 15th century. A question remains: did the downpour occur an hour ago or five centuries ago? Impossible to say but we would swear we heard the drops hitting the tiles...
