Mad Jarova, Suprarealism, between dream and reality
Have you ever heard of Suprarealism? At the sight of these naked bodies entwined lost in an infernal paradise, it is difficult not to think of the nebulous compositions of certain old masters or the delusional and obsessive visions of the Spanish prophet Salvador Dalí. However, the evidence sometimes turns out to be much more complex than it seems! A perfect fusion between different surrealist and existentialist modes of thought, this new current shrouded in a dark mystery flourishes above all in duality, constantly oscillating between dreams and the strictest reality. At the head of this sibylline movement based on an art that is both imaginary and visionary: the painter Mad-Jarova. With her luminous work characterized by its subtle and nuanced palette, the visual artist covers her canvases with the “states of mind” of an embodied humanity in order to give free rein to this conscious creation, essential to express the deep meaning of life. Under his brushes, does this “fall” of a hollow tree carried away by a wave not become a prophecy of what could happen to humanity? Perfectly anchored in her time, Mad-Jarova here opens the way to a new experience of reality, sensitive, dreamlike and abstract. In a word ? Superrealistic!
