Hands up ! Galerie Templon welcomes The Kid back to school. Beneath his enfant terrible appearance, this self-taught artist of Dutch origin electrifies the contemporary scene by revealing the hidden side of the American dream in an XXL menu. Spectacular and violent, generous and satirical, the work of Robin Kid takes in this punchy exhibition a hybrid form made of immense trashy and colorful advertising posters, a clever mix of stainless steel panels, paintings watered down and aluminum sculptures. Behind its pastrami sandwiches and bowls of cereal, the portrait of a fallen youth bottle-fed with pop culture and covered in melted cheddar is revealed here. Yum !
