Whether you are an artist looking for the ideal place to express your inspiration, a Parisian looking for the apartment of your dreams or an Internet user fond of unusual information, this news should fascinate you: the apartment which served as workshop of the famous painter Émile Bernard is currently on sale!

Located in a private mansion nestled on the island of Saint-Louis, this apartment was the place of creation of the post-impressionist painter during the last 30 years of his life. It was here that he reconnected with a style close to classicism, notably producing wood engravings which served as covers for luxury editions of literary masterpieces such as Baudelaire's "Les Fleurs du Mal", “The Odyssey” by Homer or “Les Amours” by Ronsard.

But what about the apartment itself? It is a fairly classic two-room apartment, extending over 80 m², including an entrance, a bathroom, a kitchenette, a living room, a bedroom and generous storage space. The whole is in good condition, preserving its vintage charm and the romantic aura that emanates from the artist. However, benefiting from all these advantages comes at a cost: €835,000. Suffice to say that this property (like all the artists' residences that we present here) will probably remain a sweet dream for you (and for us too...).
