What is the secret behind Marina Abramović’s performances? Response to the Royal Academy in London which is devoting an exhibition to the woman who was one of the greatest provocateurs of her time. And the secret… is that there isn’t one. Everything involves hard, daily work, repeating the same movements until she tests the limits of her body during extreme sessions, such as a twelve-day fast that she imposed on herself during her training. So much effort for a single goal: to put this work at the service of luminous performances shared here in an anthology of photos and videos showing us all the beauty of a work whose refinement is such that it seems to have something spiritual , almost metaphysical.
