In vogue since the end of the 19th century, the music hall and the cabaret have experienced dazzling notoriety and development since their appearance, particularly in Paris, which has seen the flourishing of numerous rooms dedicated to this new form of spectacle, very popular with French but also foreigners. Now famous, these venues such as the Moulin-Rouge, the Folies Bergère, and the Paradis Latin continue to attract an increasingly demanding audience. This exhibition invites us to discover the remarkable work of all those who work in the shadows to offer us an exceptional spectacle: the costume designers. Thus, we are invited to immerse ourselves in the creation of hundreds of costumes, from famous cabarets to other more intimate ones.
