A stolen Chagall, the culprits vanished!

The mysterious painting by Chagall is still missing since the improbable breakage at the Carlton Fine Arts Gallery in Manhattan. So what happened to the work and where are the culprits hiding? The investigation is stagnating...

Although heavy rain flooded the streets that night of September 25, 2023, it did not, however, slow down the audacity of the thieves who unscrupulously entered the majestic Avenue Madison gallery to seize this jewel entitled Eve , estimated at $100,000. The city's surveillance cameras bear witness to the theft. Equipped with hammers, the two criminals, hidden under hoods, did not hesitate to break the window of the store to seize the work, displayed on an easel. They then quietly left the scene, the painting under their arm without any protective packaging. The cameras also follow their escape and reveal the car that was waiting for them, a 1996 Honda Accord in poor condition, where the painting was vulgarly thrown into the back seat.

Upset, the owner of the Charles Safati gallery does not understand how the theft could have taken place given the vigilance and extreme surveillance usually exercised by the police in the neighborhood. Devastated, the gallery owner had to replace his window and strengthen his security system, deploring the significant expenses this entails.

The New York police are continuing their search but still have no suspect in sight, it seems that the culprits had everything planned... Let's hope that the intact Chagall returns to the gallery as quickly as possible!
