Exhibition Kate Barry, the photographer in the spotlight at the Quai de la Photo
12
Fragile and poetic. This is what we remember from the work of Jane Birkin's daughter, the talented Kate Barry, almost essentially known for her portraits of personalities from the world of cinema, fashion and music. A discreet photographer who lived in the shadow of the stars, the latter is in the spotlight through an unprecedented retrospective at the Quai de la Photo in Paris, retracing the full extent of her work since the start of her career as a photographer. in 1996.
In total, no less than 80 photos await us: fashion, portraits of recognized personalities such as Sophie Marceau, Monica Bellucci or even Vanessa Paradis, but also more confidential photos of her loved ones, or even landscapes filled with melancholy... Photographs imbued with emotion which gives us a sensitive and intimate vision of the personality of a shooting star of the artistic scene, who died prematurely – just ten years ago – at the age of 46. An appointment that she shares with us today to allow us to enter her world and invite us to a unique moment of contemplation and introspection.
