Our images from the Invader exhibition: the street artist at the head of the Invader Space Station
14
Successful invasion for Invader! The anonymous street artist, famous for his mosaics of ultra-pixelated aliens and his falsely dematerialized Rubik's Cube compositions, had already colonized part of the globe thanks to his very colorful creations inspired by the aesthetics of early video games and pop. culture. Here he is now taking on a whole new space in the city where he was born. To everyone's surprise, the artist landed his spaceship at 11 rue Béranger, in the former premises of the newspaper Libération, in the very place where a giant Invader had taken up residence around ten years ago.
Perched at the top of this abandoned nine-story building, the mosaic has since been joined by a hundred small aliens ready to do battle with the Earthlings. In an immersive scenography tailor-made by Invader, we set out in search of the Alias scattered throughout the space, from floor to ceiling. Photos, videos, sculptures and new installations... This massive exhibition covering more than 3,500 m2 promises a cosmic stroll through the world of the street artist before he unveils his 1,500th specimen in Paris. So, keep your eyes peeled because the invasion has already begun.
